Its Official... Alice Horton choked on her Doughnuts

Well after a box of tissues were put to use... I made it thru todays episode of Days of Our Lives...  Alice does meet her maker... but after reading Soap Opera Digest and Soap Opera Weekly...  Alice will be returning as a spirit in future episodes... so its not the ending... and on a happy note... Near the end of the episode her spirit did take Tom Horton's hand and went to Heaven so that they could finally be together again...  In Soap Opera Digest they asked Frances Reid what she thought of how they incorporated her doughnuts into her final scene...  She said...  "I thought it was hilarious."     So hearing that is helping me cope better with her death on the show...

In my life... things arent quite as exciting right now...  but i can say after tomorrow... I have three weeks of school down... and 57 more to go...   then I guess i could go work for Versace or Chanel...   or even design my own clothing line... any investors?

talk to you later

kisses

Yes i think that it is horrible that they are letting most of the veterans off the show... but i know in order for NBC to renew Days, they had to do some budget cuts...  And the show was very cast heavy with  most sitting on the back burner and not really getting much of a chance to get on the hot flame and sizzle

I think it is DISPICABLE that they are killing off all the BEST ones... I have been watching DOOL from the first day when Julie got caught shop lifting...I am not sure I want to ever watch it again... Most of those characters were the best Vets.. Especially Alice... I can't figure how John Clark would allow that to happen to Maggie and go along with it.... And above  all Francis Reid... If the Budget is it?? Get rid of the low life on there...Like Samantha.. She isn't a crowd drawer... Lucas?? he is no better... In my opinion I think that they should come up that someone has had a really bad dream and everyone is still there then weed out the bad actors and actresses...

I agree that it realy sucks that they are killing off some of the best and oldest people on Days.  I have been watching Days for more than 20 years and it has been a real tear jerker lately.  As for why.... Day is trying to reach a younger audience. That is why they are bringing on younger characters like Jan who, in my opinion, should have been killed off long ago along with Nicole.  I was so mad to see Victor go. Anyways, if you have noticed, over the past few years they have made the youngest  all grown up and now adding more characters one at a time.  They killed off the older characters who no longer draw new viewers. As sad as it was to see Alice go, I have watched her slowly grow very old over the past few years and I think it is time she uses her time to fulfill her dreams and pursue the quality of life with her family. As much of an asset as she was to Days, it was time. If they don't get rid of Nicole soon, I too will be a past fan.  Jan is way too tacky.  The only thing that is keeping watching right now is the return of Stefano.
